Right here on-site, Jølstraholmen is a paradise for the little ones! Waterslide, trampoline, swimming pond, interactive play equipment, and a zipline—there’s endless fun until the sun sets. And don’t forget the river sauna! Combined with our natural pool, it’s a spa experience you won’t want to miss.

Jølstraholmen – all year round

Did you know that we are open all year round? Here you can get some inspiration from the different seasons.
Autumn is perhaps our favorite time of year here at Jølstraholmen! The mountains transform into a colorful work of art in red, yellow and green. The air is fresh and clear. The sky is bright blue, and the stars pepper the night sky in the late evenings. The very best time to go hiking in the mountains is right now in autumn.

Don't forget to treat yourself to a sauna session when the crisp autumn air tingles your cheeks! The cold water in our natural pool, combined with the warmth of the sauna, is pure bliss for body and soul.  
Autumn is also a fantastic time for fishing. The river stays open until September 30th, and often, it's at the end of the season that the fish bite best.  
So don’t let autumn bring you down—come to us and recharge with exciting activities and comfortable accommodation! We’re ready to welcome you with open arms and can’t wait to share the autumn adventure with you.

Winter at Jølstraholmen is packed with fun and excitement for all our guests! The ski slopes at Jølster Skisenter are just a snowball’s throw away, and surrounding us, over 100 mountain peaks reach toward the sky—many of them untouched, offering world-class conditions for ski touring enthusiasts.

At the campsite, kids can play in the snow on the playground, and the football goal works just fine as a target for eager snowball throwers. Not far away, you’ll find sledding hills and cross-country ski trails winding deep into the valleys and up the mountains. After a day filled with snow and winter fun, our sauna will be warm and ready to thaw out chilly bodies, while our natural pool offers a refreshing way to clear your mind. All our cabins are winter-insulated, and many come with their own fireplace. Few things beat sinking into a cozy sofa by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa before our comfortable beds ensure you're well-rested and recharged for the next day's adventure!

Spring at Jølstra bursts to life with a bang! Down in the valleys, everything turns lush and green, while the snow still dusts the mountaintops like powdered sugar. Spring is a fantastic season for ski touring, snowshoe hikes, and trekking through forests and fields—perfect for those eager to get outdoors and enjoy nature! Spring is also the season for cycling, kayaking, and canoeing. And don’t forget fishing! The Jølstra River opens on April 15th, offering great chances to reel in a big catch. As the days grow longer, there’s more time to enjoy outdoor activities from morning to night.

At the campsite, we reopen most of the summer activities. In the swimming pond, the little ones can try out SUP boards and kayaks. The trampoline is ready for action, and if the weekends bring good weather, we might even get a head start on the waterslide!  So come and experience the magic of spring at Jølstraholmen—the adventure is waiting for you!

Summers at Jølstraholmen are like a treasure chest full of adventures! The campsite buzzes with life and excitement, but if you need a break from cheerful children and enthusiastic dads, nature offers countless hideaways. Here, over 100 mountain peaks are waiting to be conquered, with the highest soaring more than 1,500 meters into the sky! The glacier is just a stone’s throw away, ready for new discoveries.
How about a bike ride along the beautiful Jølstravatnet or maybe a paddle across the sparkling water? Does a refreshing swim or a trip up to the glacier sound tempting? The possibilities are endless, and adventure awaits around every corner!
