In Norway, skiing has roots all the way back to Norse times and is considered our national sport. We’re born with skis on our feet and feel as at home in the snow as a fish in water. Jølster is a paradise for ski enthusiasts, with Jølster Ski Center as a true mecca in the heart of Sunnfjord.

Just a stone’s throw from Jølstraholmen, you’ll find Jølster Ski Center—an exceptional facility located in the heart of Sogn og Fjordane and central Sunnfjord. Surrounded by towering mountains, it offers a total of four kilometers of well-groomed slopes. Most of the trails are equipped with artificial snow for an early season start. If you take the ski lift all the way to the top, it’s easy to continue on to the summit of Kvamsfjellet. From there, you can see all the surrounding peaks.
